Lots of litter -

Although this pond looks pleasing to our eyes
it formed an essential water supply for the

Outer City

Untidy bird?
This opportunistic
brown rat turns up
to this bird table
every afternoon
looking for scraps

Rats have
adapted to
nesting under
trees

These louvres in
a boiler room
door allow easy
access for rats
into the building.

Once inside the
boiler room they
can follow the
pipes trough the holes
in walls to most
rooms in the
building.

Someone left an
open drainage hole
in this wall. It was
a ready made home
to a family of rats.

This grill above a land
drain was big enough to
allow rats through but
narrow enough to
prevent predators
from following them
